Marina Roznitovsky Oster

Marina Roznitovsky Oster is an Instructor of Harp at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), and Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC). She holds a Doctorate of Music (PD), Master of Music (MM), and Bachelor of Music (BM) in harp performance and pedagogy from Indiana University, under Professor Susann McDonald. As a performer, she serves as principal harpist with the Reno Chamber Orchestra and Reno Philharmonic, and has appeared on National Israeli and U.S. broadcasts. Her pedagogical work includes developing the C-world teaching method for harpists and leading an annual Harp Plus festival showcasing ensemble performances with up to 27 harps. Oster’s awards include the National Society of Arts and Letters first prize (2006) and multiple scholarships from the American Israel Cultural Foundation.
