Marina Joubert

Associate Professor Marina Joubert holds a pioneering role in science communication at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. She specializes in scientists' public engagement roles, science-media interactions, and digital science-society interfaces. Currently serving as Deputy Editor of the Journal of Science Communication (JCOM), she is an Honorary Lifetime Member of the global PCST Network. During June–July 2024, she conducted a visiting research period at Queensland University of Technology's Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC).

Her research focuses on bridging scientific expertise with public understanding through media and digital platforms. Key themes include empowering scientists in outreach, analyzing media portrayal of science, and fostering inclusive science-society dialogues.
