Marina Gallagher

Marina Gallagher is a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Waterloo, holding a PhD in Musicology from the University of British Columbia (2023) and a BA in Music and Classical Studies from the University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on ludomusicology, examining how music interacts with game narratives, landscapes, and emotional responses in titles like Final Fantasy and NieR series. She explores anti-ludic music, archaeogaming, and connections between video game music and ancient epic/pastoral poetry.
