Milly Rose Gunn

Dr Milly Gunn (she/her) is a Senior Lecturer in Game Design and Musicology at the University of East London's School of Arts and Creative Industries. Her research focuses on intersections between video game studies, sound studies, and musicology, particularly within horror and fantasy genres.

Research interests span game studies, feminist/gender studies, ethnomusicology, and occult studies. She specializes in indie game development, narrative and world design, and 2D art production.

Her notable publication examines cultural representation through audio design in Pokémon Sun and Moon (2022), available in the Journal of Sound and Music in Games.
