Marina Carr is an Associate Professor in the School of English at Dublin City University. She specializes in creative writing, teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her roles include co-teaching modules and visiting lecturer positions at Princeton University, Trinity College, University College Dublin, and Notre Dame University. She has also held residencies and spoken at global literary festivals and the Abbey Theatre, where many of her plays premiered.
Her research interests encompass creative writing, drama, and playwriting, with a focus on Irish and international theatre. Notable works include By the Bog of Cats (Norton Modern and Contemporary Irish Drama Edition) and adaptations like Blood Wedding (Young Vic, London).
