Marie Meudec

Marie Meudec is a Research Fellow specializing in Emerging Infectious Diseases at the Institute of Tropical Medicine Antwerp, Belgium. With over 20 years of experience in global public health research, she serves as a Senior Qualitative Research Scientist and Health Equity Expert with a focus on migration, racism, and gender issues. Her work spans multiple countries including Belgium, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso, and Rwanda.

Dr. Meudec's research interests center on health equity, with particular emphasis on how migration, racism, and gender intersect with public health outcomes. She has pioneered work in collecting sex-disaggregated and gendered data for outbreak responses, decolonizing global health research, and addressing racial disparities in health systems.
