Soledad Colombe is an infectious disease epidemiologist with a veterinary medicine background, bridging academic and public health sectors. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology and Parasitology from Leiden University Medical Center (2020), a DVM from VetagroSup, National Veterinary School of Lyon, France (2016), and an MPH in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Yale School of Public Health (2016).
Her research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to outbreak investigation and integrated surveillance, with emphasis on zoonotic diseases (e.g., mpox, Rift Valley fever) and HIV/schistosomiasis co-infections. Current projects include:
