Dr. Marie Chollier is a Senior Lecturer in Psychological Trauma at the University of Chester's Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. As Programme Leader for the PGCert in Psychological Trauma, she coordinates postgraduate education while maintaining clinical practice as a psychologist, psychotherapist, and sexologist.
Her research examines psychological trauma, forensic psychology, sexual violence prevention/treatment, social inequalities, and epistemic injustice. She leads multinational projects including European Sexual Medicine Network Delphi studies examining transnational sexual health priorities.
Publications address diverse topics: athlete inclusion policies, COVID-19 impacts on intimacy, migration health, and clinical interventions. Recent work emphasizes inclusion policies in elite sports and pandemic-related mental health resilience frameworks.
She holds CPsychol status from the British Psychological Society and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
