Maria Knoth Humlum

Maria Knoth Humlum is a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Aarhus University, and affiliated with TrygFonden Children's Research Center and IZA. She holds a PhD from Aarhus University (2009) and serves on the Economic Council as a special expert member. Since 2025, she chairs the Independent Research Foundation of Denmark | Society and Industry. Her research focuses on empirical applications in education, labor markets, and health, particularly teacher-child interactions and vaccination spillovers. She has authored over 30 publications and received the 2016 Best Reviewer Award for Labor Economics.
