Maria Knoth Humlum is a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Aarhus University, and affiliated with TrygFonden Children's Research Center and IZA. She holds a PhD from Aarhus University (2009) and serves on the Economic Council as a special expert member. Since 2025, she chairs the Independent Research Foundation of Denmark | Society and Industry.
