Maria Kapsali

Maria Kapsali is a Senior Lecturer in Project Management at the Faculty of Environment and Technology (FET), University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Her career spans academic roles across multiple institutions, including positions at Imperial College Business School, University of Umea, University of Hull Business School, and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Maria specializes in socio-technical coordination of innovation and creative projects, with a focus on temporary organizations. Her research has addressed healthcare telemedicine, clinical operations, cultural projects, construction agility, and digital productivity gaps in SMEs. She has contributed to journals such as HRMJ, IJOPM, JORS, Technovation, and IJPM.

Her projects include "Designing Out Medical Error" (DOME), "Simulation Modelling in Healthcare Planning", "Agility and Ambidexterity in Construction Projects", and "SME Leaders’ Strategic Roadmap To Overcome The Digital Gap In Labour Productivity". She also designed an MSc program and teaches across 23 modules in project management and operations.
