Maria Briggs is an Associate Professor of Voice in the Music Department at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State), part of the College of Arts and Humanities. She joined the university in August 2016 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020. She also founded and directs the Fresno State Art Song Festival, a cross-cultural event that includes performances, masterclasses, composition competitions, and student showcases.
