Maria Begacheva

Maria Begacheva is an Adjunct Lecturer in Cello and Bass at Pittsburg State University. She holds a Master of Music (2020) and is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Cello Performance from Park University. Her academic journey includes studies at Wichita State University (Bachelor's in Music Performance) and the Rimsky-Korsakov Music Academy in Russia (Diploma in Music Education and Orchestral Performance).

Her teaching experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant at Wichita State University School of Music and the University of Illinois. She has performed with the Sinfonia da Camera Chamber Orchestra as Associate Principal and participated in prestigious festivals like the Bayreuth Chamber Music Festival and Opera in the Ozarks.

Begacheva's professional accolades include competition wins in Russia and the U.S., and her artistic focus spans chamber music performance, orchestral playing, and music education. She actively pursues further educational opportunities to advance her career as a professional musician.
