Maren Duvendack is a Professor of Evaluation in Economics at the University of East Anglia's School of Global Development, where she directs the MSc Impact Evaluation for Global Development program. She previously served as Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the Social Science Faculty. Her research focuses on impact evaluation methodologies, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis, with thematic expertise in digital financial inclusion, women's economic empowerment, and climate change impacts on agriculture.
Research interests span applied micro-econometrics, replication studies, and quantitative policy evaluation across South Asia and East Africa. Her work examines microfinance effectiveness, immunization programs, and the links between government policies and income inequality.
She has received recognition including Senior Research Fellowships from 3ie and the Higher Education Academy. Her editorial roles include positions at the Campbell Collaboration and Progress in Development Studies.
