Dr. Mardi McNeil is a Postdoctoral Researcher and sessional academic in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research focuses on cross-disciplinary marine geoscience, particularly biogenic carbonate sediments and structures such as Halimeda bioherms, examining their physical, chemical, and biological properties across spatial scales. She holds a PhD and undergraduate degrees from QUT in Earth Science and Environmental Science.
Her career includes prestigious awards such as the Terry Walker Award (2018) and the Thinkable Peer Prize for Women in Science (2017).
