Marco Ramirez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages and Literatures at Lehman College, CUNY. He holds a PhD from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. from Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. His research focuses on Latin American Modernismo, Vanguardia, 20th-century poetry, cosmopolitanism, and contemporary narratives. He serves as editor of the academic journal Ciberletras and advises the Graduate Program.
His publications include analyses of Borges, Cortázar, Valeria Luiselli, and León de Greiff, with a focus on intertextuality, literary tradition, and global modernity. He co-translated Julio y John, Caminando y Conversando (2019) and co-edited Narrativas del miedo (2018). Upcoming works include a monograph on León de Greiff's cosmopolitanism. His research bridges Latin American literature with global contexts, emphasizing transnational influences and poetic innovation.
