Marcin Chomicki

Dr. hab. Marcin Chomicki serves as a University Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw's Faculty of Painting, where he has taught since 2004 and currently leads the Painting Department for second- through fifth-year students.

He holds dual qualifications: a degree in Assyriology from the University of Warsaw's Institute of Oriental Studies and a Painting degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

His creative practice critically engages with Painting, Public Art, Photography, and 3D Animation, exploring intersections between traditional and digital media.

Chomicki's contributions have been recognized through sustained institutional support:

• Five consecutive Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarships (2006–2021)
• Young Poland program funding (2011)
• City of Warsaw scholarships (2018, 2020)

As a co-founder of Gallery 2.0 (2009–2013), he significantly shaped the Academy's experimental exhibition space while maintaining active studio practice alongside academic duties.
