Dr. Marcia A. Mardis is a Professor at the School of Information within the College of Communication & Information at Florida State University (FSU). She serves as Director of the FSU Information Institute and has held roles such as Associate Dean for Research (2018–2024) and Chair of the FSU Council of the Associate Deans for Research (CADR). Her research focuses on community disaster resiliency, technician education, and education informatics, with a strong emphasis on federally funded projects totaling over $25 million in grants from NSF and IMLS.
