Ayoung Yoon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indiana University Indianapolis. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.S. in Information from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in History from Ewha Womans University, Seoul.
Research Interests: Her work focuses on data curation, data sharing/reuse, digital preservation, and community-driven data initiatives. She emphasizes building infrastructure to support data reuse in local communities and public libraries, including designing service models for open data engagement.
Awards: She received the Eugene Garfield Doctoral Dissertation Award (2015) for her work on data reuse and trust judgments.
