Marcel Breeuwer is a part-time Full Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in two departments: Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. His research bridges Medical Image Analysis and Signal Processing Systems to develop computational models for diagnosing and managing cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders, and cancer. He also contributes to data compression, image-guided surgery, and machine learning in clinical contexts.

His recent publications highlight advancements in myelin quantification for multiple sclerosis and AI-assisted motion analysis in spinal diagnostics.
He holds fellowships with the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering Sciences and serves on the board of the Dutch Society of Pattern Recognition and Image Processing. Collaborative projects include NeuroPlatform and EAISI Health initiatives.
