Marc Halbheer

Marc Halbheer is a Professor at the Institute of Jazz and Folk Music, part of the Lucerne School of Music (Hochschule Luzern). Born in Zurich, his lifelong passion for music led him to specialize in percussion, particularly jazz drums. He studied in Los Angeles under renowned mentors like Ralph Humphrey and Ed Man, and has collaborated with artists such as Mathias Rüeggs Vienna Art Orchestra, Plastic Art Foundation, and others. Since 1992, he has taught percussion and rhythm at Hochschule Luzern, emphasizing interdisciplinary music approaches.
