Marc Gaden

Dr. Marc Gaden serves as Lecturer in the Program in the Environment within the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan. Concurrently, he is Communications Director for the Great Lakes Fishery Commission and holds an adjunct appointment at Michigan State University.

His work focuses on transboundary fishery management, water resource governance, and science-policy interfaces. Research emphasizes collaborative approaches to Great Lakes conservation, invasive species control, and sustainable resource management.

Publications address challenges in maintaining trust-based management relationships, communicating science to policymakers, and developing binational agreements. Dr. Gaden teaches environmental courses including Global Water (Environ 306).
