Mara Terzini

Mara Terzini is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS), Polytechnic University of Turin, and a member of the PolitoBIOMed Lab - Biomedical Engineering Lab. Her research focuses on biomechanics, bone mechanics, dental prostheses, and medical device optimization, with expertise in experimental analysis, finite element modeling, and multibody simulation.

• Research Lines: Design of innovative ventilation systems, dynamic/fatigue analysis of biomechanical systems, mechanical characterization of soft tissues, structural analysis of bone-implant systems, study of orthopedic devices

Mara participates in editorial roles for journals like Frontiers in Medical Engineering and Materials, and serves on scientific committees for European and Italian biomechanics conferences. Her recent publications span topics from CPAP therapy mechanics to bone implant stability and tissue engineering.
