Manuela Ghizzoni

Manuela Ghizzoni is a confirmed researcher in Medieval History at the University of Bologna's Department of Educational Sciences 'Giovanni Maria Bertin' since 2002. Her research focuses on late medieval urban history, including Carpi's development (13th–15th centuries), Renaissance iconography, and urban fortifications. She has contributed to projects like the Historical Atlases of Italian Cities and the Nu.ME electronic museum of Bologna. From 2006–2018, she served in parliament, focusing on school and university policies, particularly teacher training and access to education. Post-2018, she was vice president of the Ferruccio Parri National Institute.
