Manuel Macias ("Manny") is a Lecturer in Dance at Chapman University's College of Performing Arts. As an interdisciplinary artist from Southern California east of the 605 freeway, he co-founded Mechanism Dancetheatre Collective and collaborates with FEK-MAC on experimental dancetheatre projects. His work examines intersections of the body, borders, storytelling, and transnational migration dynamics.

His research focuses on decolonial movement practices, exploring how individuals navigate physical and conceptual boundaries imposed by nation-states. He also teaches contemporary movement and dance ethnography/history/theory courses at Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Long Beach.
