Rachel Engstrom

Rachel Engstrom serves as Lecturer and Costume Lab Supervisor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she designs costumes for fall and spring dance concerts. She is an active freelance costume designer with extensive local and regional credits.

• Education: BA in Theatre Design and Technical Production (Western Michigan University), MFA in Costume Design (California State University - Long Beach)

Freelance Credits: Include designs for The Producers, Spring Awakening, Memphis at Theatre Charlotte, and The Mousetrap, The Bridges of Madison County, James and the Giant Peach at CPCC. She has also worked with notable theater companies like South Coast Repertory Theatre and American Players Theatre.

Previous Teaching: Includes experience at the Academy for the Performing Arts in Huntington Beach, CA, and design work at the University of California–Irvine, Chapman University, and multiple theater festivals.
