Manuel Colburn

Manuel Colburn is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Music at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, he currently resides in Norman while pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) at the University of Oklahoma.

Colburn is an active tubist and teacher in Northeast Indiana, with five years of experience in the music department of Memorial Park Middle School Fine Arts Magnet. He has performed with ensembles such as the Fort Wayne Community Band, Zion Brass Ensemble, Old Crown Brass Band, and as a substitute in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic since 2012. His academic and professional focus spans music performance, brass instrument pedagogy, and ensemble education.
