Maggie Scorey

Maggie Scorey serves as a Lecturer and Practice Education Lead in the Department of Allied Health and Midwifery within Southern Cross University's Faculty of Health, leveraging clinical expertise from private practice hand therapy and public hospital neuroscience roles to advance occupational therapy education.

Dr. Scorey's research centers on rehabilitation dynamics for professional athletes, particularly investigating facilitators and barriers to returning to surfing after acute injuries. Her work bridges occupational therapy, hand therapy, and neurosciences with community-based health promotion, driving international student projects in Vietnam and Cambodia focused on primary care and injury prevention.
