Professor M. Angela Sasse FREng holds the position of Professor of Human-Centred Security at Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) and retains an appointment at University College London (UCL). Her research focuses on designing technologies that align with human behavior to enhance security, privacy, and societal well-being. She leads the UK's Research Institute for Science of Cyber Security (RISCS), a multidisciplinary initiative funded by EPSRC and GCHQ.
Previously at UCL's Department of Computer Science, she pioneered studies on usability challenges in security mechanisms since 1996, emphasizing frameworks for understanding human interactions with security systems.
