Dr. Lydie Meunier is Associate Professor of French and Comparative Literature and Director of the School of Language and Literature at The University of Tulsa's Kendall College of Arts & Sciences. She emigrated from France to the U.S. in 1984 and joined TU in 1994.
Her research explores literary plurilingualism in post-colonial African texts and films, feminist readings of George Sand's works, and pedagogical approaches to language teaching. She teaches advanced French, business French, African cinemas, and courses on witches in literature and film.
Awards:
- Three-time nominee for TU's Outstanding Teaching Award
- Member of Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society since 1988
