Dr. Lukas Altermatt is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Essex, appointed since July 2020. His previous appointments include Visiting Research Fellow positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a PhD in Economics (2019), an MSc in Business and Economics (2014), and a BA in Business and Economics (2012), all from the University of Basel.
Altermatt's research focuses on macroeconomics, monetary policy, banking, and financial markets.
