Luisa Lambertini is a Full Professor and holds the Chair of International Finance at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the College of Management of Technology (CDM) and the Department of Finance. She earned a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley (1995), MSc from Warwick University (1989), and Laurea cum Laude from Bologna (1987). Her research focuses on international finance, monetary/fiscal policy interactions, and political economy, emphasizing policy design to mitigate economic shocks. She has published in top journals like the American Economic Review and European Economic Review, and advised the European Central Bank. Current research includes housing market modeling, macro-prudential policies, and bank capital regulation.
