Luis Freijo is a Researcher at King’s College London’s Department of Film Studies, working on the AGE-C project (Ageing and Gender in European Cinema, funded by VolkswagenStiftung). He holds a PhD and MA from the University of Birmingham and a joint degree in Journalism/Audiovisual Communication from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid. His research focuses on World Cinema theory, film genre theory, and the global Western, particularly examining intersections of ageing, gender, and political economy.
