Luigi Musco

Luigi Musco is Associate Professor of Zoology at the University of Salento, researching marine invertebrate ecology and conservation. His work spans taxonomy, biogeography, and restoration of coastal ecosystems, with significant contributions to understanding coral-jellyfish trophic interactions.

Musco leads major restoration initiatives including the ABBACO project (€3.7M), developing innovative techniques for marine ecosystem recovery. His awards include the Anton Dohrn Best Researcher Award (2018) and recognition for highly influential publications in marine ecology journals.
