Luca Gualtieri is Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where he serves as deputy head of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory and senior researcher at the Extended Reality Laboratory (XR-lab).
His human-centric manufacturing research examines ergonomics and safety in industrial human-robot collaboration. Specific interests include augmented reality applications for operator training, assistive systems for vulnerable workers, and adaptive human-machine interfaces in Industry 4.0 environments.
He teaches courses on Digital Factory systems and Safety in Human-Robot Interaction for Industrial Mechanical Engineering students. His applied research involves industry collaborations developing inclusive production systems.
