Lomeli C. Shull is an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of New Mexico. Her research investigates epigenetic regulation of neural crest development and craniofacial formation using zebrafish and mouse models. She received NIH funding including a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award.
Research Focus: Dr. Shull studies how chromatin remodelers control gene expression during embryonic development. Her work examines PRDM paralogs, histone modifiers, and Wnt/β-catenin signaling in cartilage/bone differentiation and craniofacial patterning disorders.
