Lois Phillips is a Lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology (NMT). She has been teaching German at NMT since 1989, coinciding with the fall of the Berlin Wall. Her courses include Elementary German I, Elementary German II, and German Culture Through Film. Phillips studied at the Georg August Universität in Göttingen and earned her BA in German Literature from the University of California (1974) and an MA in German from Stanford University (1975).
