Lizbeth Arroyo

Lizbeth Arroyo is an Entrepreneurship Researcher and EU Project Manager at StarUB! within the University of Barcelona, Spain. She holds an International Ph.D. in Business focusing on digital entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial identity construction, and legitimacy processes from a sociological perspective.

Her research integrates theories of ideology, entrepreneurial identity, and organizational values to examine how digital contexts shape entrepreneurial legitimacy. Key interests include identity formation in digital ventures and sociological conditions affecting new business validation.

Dr. Arroyo leads critical initiatives:

• TORCH—CHARM Alliance
• HEI Initiative—The TRUE Project

and serves as institutional delegate for GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) and GUESSS projects.
