Professor Liz Sampson is the inaugural Professor of Liaison Psychiatry at the Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing, affiliated with Queen Mary University of London's Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Barts Health NHS Trust, and Whipps Cross Hospital. She holds clinical roles in liaison psychiatry at the Royal London Hospital. Her expertise bridges physical and mental health, focusing on cognitive disorders like delirium and dementia, and optimizing care transitions between acute hospitals, emergency services, and community settings.
