Liyam Laraba

Dr. Liyam Laraba is a Research Fellow at the Peninsula Medical School within the Faculty of Health at the University of Plymouth. Her research specializes in neuro-oncology with a focus on NF2-deficient tumours of the nervous system. She completed her undergraduate and master's degree in biochemistry at the University of Birmingham before pursuing her PhD at Plymouth under Professor David Parkinson.

Her research examines tumour biology mechanisms while developing interests in medical education. She teaches Foundation Year Medical Neuroscience and Neuro-oncology courses.
