Lisa Whiting

Lisa Whiting is Associate Professor (Research) at the University of Hertfordshire's School of Health and Social Work. With dual registration as adult and children's nurse, her research centers on child wellbeing, health asset mapping, and family-centered care.

Current projects include evaluating safeguarding training effectiveness, neonatal communication practices, and dietary interventions during early development. Whiting employs participatory methodologies emphasizing children's voices and photo-elicitation techniques.

She leads studies on nurse retention in palliative care and coordinates the NHS England Youth Forum research initiatives. Her doctoral work pioneered asset-based approaches to child health promotion.
