Leah Rosengarten

Leah Rosengarten is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University’s Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health. She specializes in child nursing, with expertise in pediatric pharmacology, end-of-life care, and professional development for nurses. Her teaching spans pre- and post-registration child nursing programs, and she serves as a personal tutor for undergraduate nursing students.

• Joined Northumbria University in 2018 after 6 years in pediatric oncology at Great North Children’s Hospital
• Current PhD research focuses on personal and professional development of children's nurses
• Active in nursing education and workforce issues (stress, absenteeism, teamwork)

Research Interests: Her work investigates clinical practices in pediatric care, including intravenous fluid management, antimicrobial use, and palliative care education. She explores systemic challenges in nursing retention and training.
