Lisa T. Hong, PharmD, BCPS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmacy, Loma Linda University. She joined the faculty in July 2015 and serves as the Director of Interprofessional Education. Her clinical practice and precepting focus on Internal Medicine Units at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Dr. Hong’s research and teaching focus on clinical pharmacy, interprofessional education, anticoagulation, hyperkalemia, hypertension in dialysis, and pharmacy education. She teaches courses in fluids and electrolytes, chronic kidney disease, Pharmacy Practice III, and a capstone course on patient cases and literature evaluation.
Her recent publications (2021–2025) reflect a strong emphasis on clinical outcomes, medication safety, and educational innovation in pharmacy. Key themes include anticoagulant use in special populations, hyperkalemia management, interprofessional collaboration, and residency training effectiveness. Many studies employ retrospective cohort designs, surveys, and consensus methodologies, often with a focus on practical, hospital-based interventions.

Dr. Hong actively mentors students and residents and serves on multiple university and school-level committees, including the Center for Interprofessional Education and Practice Executive Committee and the Resident Advisory Committee.
