Lisa Rosen is an Associate Professor at the Committee on Education, University of Chicago, and serves as Director of Instructional Programs. Her research centers on education and social inequality, the social context of urban schooling, and the interplay of schooling with identity. She co-authored the 2017 book The Ambitious Elementary School, proposing a model to address systemic educational inequality.
As Director of Instructional Programs, she oversees curriculum design for undergraduate and graduate programs, including an Education and Society Minor and a Master’s Certificate Program. She teaches courses on education and social inequality and advises students on curricular and career pathways.
