Dr. Lisa Moore is a Professor in the Division of Music+Theatre at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), where she teaches Applied Voice, Opera Theater, and vocal courses. She holds a D.A. in Vocal Performance from Ball State University (2008), an M.M. from the University of Kentucky (1992), and a B.A. in Sociology and African/African American Studies from Anderson University (1987).

Her research focuses on vocal pedagogy, Shaker music, and opera performance. Notable projects include a live CD of Shaker music recorded at Shakertown and national presentations on Wagnerian soprano techniques and collaborative vocal duets. She has performed major roles in operas like Suor Angelica and Die Fledermaus.
Her awards include the 2015 IWU Presidential Leadership Award and the 2007 Master Teacher Award. She has led organizations such as the National Opera Association (Host Chair, 2016) and the Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (2012-2014).
Moore has extensive administrative experience, including serving as IWU’s Faculty Senate President (2011-2015) and College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Chair (2011-2015). Her performances include recitals in Argentina and Carnegie Hall, emphasizing soprano duets exploring women’s narratives in contemporary music.
