Lisa Koop

Lisa Koop is an Adjunct Professor at Notre Dame Law School and the Associate Director of Legal Services at the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC). She specializes in litigation, policy, and advocacy for immigrant survivors of gender-based violence. Koop directs NIJC's asylum project, handles federal litigation, and oversees deportation defense matters. She also leads NIJC's Indiana office and teaches the National Immigrant Justice Center Externship course.

Education: Graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2004.

Her work focuses on protecting vulnerable immigrant populations through legal representation, systemic advocacy, and policy reform, particularly in cases involving gender-based violence and asylum.
