Lisa Dickson

Dr. Lisa Dickson is a Professor of English at the University of Northern British Columbia, affiliated with the Faculty of Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences and Humanities. She specializes in Renaissance Literature and Literary Theory, with research focusing on the intersection of beauty and violence in art and literature, particularly in Renaissance Drama. Dr. Dickson holds a PhD and MA from McMaster University and a BA from the University of Guelph.

Her academic service includes roles such as member of the Foundation Year Curriculum Program Committee at UNBC and Executive Committee member of the national 3M Fellowship Council. She has been honored with the 3M National Teaching Fellowship and the UNBC Excellence in Teaching Award (2007), reflecting her dedication to teaching excellence.
