Professor Lisa Bradley is a faculty member at the School of Information, Journalism and Communication, University of Sheffield. A former national journalist and regional newspaper editor specializing in crime reporting, she has transitioned to academia while maintaining her editorial and creative work, including authorship of four commercial fiction novels and co-editorship of the book Journalism as the Fourth Emergency Service.
- Research focuses on trauma in journalism and teaching resilience/safety to trainees and newsroom professionals
- Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA)
- Active in national journalism training through her board membership at the National Council for Training of Journalists (NCTJ)
Her teaching spans practical journalism across undergraduate and postgraduate applied MA programs. She has been recognized with multiple national awards for both her journalism and pedagogical contributions.
