Emma Oliver is a University Teacher (Lecturer) at the School of Information, Journalism and Communication, University of Sheffield, joining in January 2023 after five years as Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Football Journalism at the University of Derby.

She currently teaches Essential Journalism (JNL120), Live News Production (JNL231), Magazine Journalism and Production (JNL333), and Final Project (JNL335), while maintaining active freelance journalism work in the East Midlands.
