Dr Lisa Anemaat is a conjoint Research Fellow at The University of Queensland's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences and an affiliate of the Centre for Neurorehabilitation, Ageing and Balance Research. She specializes in speech pathology and rehabilitation science, focusing on experience-based co-design to improve aphasia services and consumer partnerships.

Her research explores post-stroke aphasia care, healthcare equity, and patient-centered service development. She has led Experience-Based Co-Design projects adopted by the Queensland Aphasia Research Centre. Her recent work examines virtual environments for brain injury rehabilitation, health equity in low-income settings, and empathy in clinical assessment.
Current funding includes the SOAR study (Shoulder OsteoArthritis Research priorities) and a NHMRC MRFF PPHR Consumer Led Research grant. She is available for supervision of students in collaborative clinical practice.
