Lindsay A. Sicks

Lindsay A. Sicks is an Associate Professor of Optometry and Cornea and Contact Lens/Ocular Disease Residency Coordinator at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). She specializes in corneal care, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease management. Dr. Sicks earned her OD from ICO in 2010 and completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. She teaches specialty contact lenses, surgical procedures, and anterior segment laser therapy to optometry students and oversees clinical training in the Cornea Center for Clinical Excellence. Her research focuses on corneal dystrophies, meibomian gland dysfunction, and myopia management.

Her honors include the Dr. Rodger Kame Award and George W. Mertz Contact Lens Residency Award.

Schmidt, MD and Associates (2021–present) and has held roles at Children’s and Family Eyecare and Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. As a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach, she emphasizes leadership development in academic and clinical settings.
